John Solok
Chief Executive Officer
John Solok brings over 25 years of senior and executive management experience, leading the organization with a visionary approach aimed at scaling up membership growth, enhancing member service experience, delivering innovative products and services, maintaining accountability to members and other key stakeholders’ expectations and delivering quality people and culture. John is a commercial all-rounder with strong background in; banking and finance, brand and trade marketing management, product and service development, customer and stakeholders’ relationship management, business advisory, disruptive business modelling, corporate governance, project management and people and culture development. His strategic leadership has usher NSLS towards achieving the vision of becoming clearly the No. 1 savings and loans society in PNG. John holds a Bachelor of Economics (in Business – UPNG) and a Master in Business Administration (DWU) and is a Professional Member of Australian Institute of Directors (MAICD). He has held senior roles in BAT PNG, BSP, PNG LNG Enterprise Centre and ANZ Pacific. Prior to joining NSLS in 2020, John was a project consultant with International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group.

Beama Wape
Chief Operating Officer
Beama Wape serves as our Chief Operating Officer, bringing a powerhouse of executive leadership to the Society’s daily operations. A graduate of the University of Papua New Guinea and a proud Member of PNG CPA, Beama has spent over a decade at the helm of major financial and operational organisations. His distinguished career includes transformative executive roles at Comrade Trustee Services Ltd, PNG Sustainable Development Program (Western Power) and Steamships. This high-level experience ensures our services are perfectly aligned with our members’ needs and backed by a strategic mindset. At the core of Beama’s leadership is a profound dedication to good corporate governance and the highest ethical standards, ensuring every decision protects the integrity of the Society and fosters a secure financial future for all our members.

Marlynn Koim
Company Secretary & Legal Counsel
Marlynn Koim is a commercial lawyer with over a decade of experience in corporate governance, superannuation, banking & finance law and corporate law. She started her career with the Department of Justice & Attorney – General, later moving to Nambawan Super Limited. She was last employed with Credit Corporation (PNG) Limited as Assistant Company Secretary in 2024, prior to joining NSLS. She was appointed as Company Secretary & Legal Counsel to NSLS on 23 February 2026. As the Company Secretary, she is responsible for overseeing corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and maintaining transparent communication between the organization’s stakeholders and generally, supports the effectiveness of the Board. She also acts as Legal Counsel for the Society as and when required. Marlynn holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Papua New Guinea and is a current member of the Papua New Guinea Law Society. She also completed the Victorian Bar Readers Course in 2023 where she signed the Roll of Overseas Counsel in Melbourne, Australia, further strengthening her legal expertise and professional skills.

Martin Kairuku
Manager, Business Development
As our Manager of Business Development, Martin Kairuku is the strategic visionary driving the Society’s mission to reach and empower more Papua New Guineans. An alumnus of the University of Papua New Guinea with a degree in Economics (in Business), Martin brings an extraordinary 25 years of professional expertise to our leadership team. Having honed his skills at prestigious organizations like BAT and SP Brewery, Martin possesses a deep, intuitive understanding of market trends and the FMCG sector. His “people-first” philosophy is the engine behind our remarkable 20% year-on-year growth, ensuring that as we expand, we never lose sight of the individuals we serve. Manager, Lending & Operations
Jane Frank serves as our Manager of Lending and Operations, bringing over 12 years of distinguished expertise in financial services to the Society. A graduate of the University of Papua New Guinea with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Jane is also a prestigious member of the PNG Institute of Directors, reflecting her commitment to the highest standards of corporate governance and leadership. With a deep specialization in Credit Risk Management, Operational Compliance, and Lending Operations, Jane provides the steady hand necessary to safeguard our members’ interests. Helen Koivi
Manager, People & Culture
Helen Koivi serves as our Manager of People and Culture, where she champions the Society’s most vital asset: our people. A proud graduate of the University of Papua New Guinea with a Bachelor’s in Political Science, Helen brings nearly a decade of specialized expertise in Human Resources to our leadership team.
